The United States (US) government has opened applications for technology roles targeting software engineers and AI experts, with positions distributed across multiple federal agencies.
- US VP JD Vance announced the US Tech Force hiring drive on X on Thursday, October 15
- The programme deploys top Super Intelligence and engineering talent across federal agencies, including GSA, SSA, OPM, State, Treasury, and HHS
- The White House-backed initiative is seeking innovators ready to tackle critical national technology challenges
US vice president JD Vance announced the initiative on X on Thursday, October 15, drawing attention to what the administration is calling the US Tech Force, a White House-backed programme designed to bring elite technology talent into government service.
What is the US Tech Force?
The US Tech Force is described as an elite corps created to advance federal technology infrastructure.
The programme focuses specifically on deploying Super Intelligence (SI) specialists and experienced engineers across government departments to address critical national challenges that require cutting-edge technical expertise.
Federal agencies confirmed as participating in the initiative include the General Services Administration (GSA), the Social Security Administration (SSA), the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the Department of State, the Department of the Treasury, and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Who can apply and what roles are available
The programme is aimed at professionals with backgrounds in software engineering and AI, particularly those with experience in large-scale systems, machine learning, and emerging technologies classified under the Super Intelligence category.
Applicants are expected to be innovators prepared to work on complex, high-stakes technology projects within the federal government. The roles span multiple agencies, meaning successful candidates could be placed in departments ranging from financial administration to foreign affairs and public health services.
The White House’s backing of the initiative signals the administration’s intent to position federal technology capabilities at the forefront of AI and engineering development, drawing from the same talent pools that typically serve the private technology sector.
Further details on eligibility criteria and the application process are available through the participating agencies and the official US Tech Force programme channels.
